Wood flooring is a great finish material for residential or commercial projects - it's durable, beautiful, and can be quite cost effective. But it's got to be installed correctly, and you have to make sure you’re selecting the right product for the look you’re going for and the situation you have.

Wood flooring of all types is "tongue and groove," meaning it's made to interlock. The boards are nailed thru the tongue at an angle so they're hidden from view. The tongue and grooves allow for tighter install, and accounts for natural expansion and contraction of the wood.
