I feel VERY strongly about this also and see this issue in SO many houses and apartments!! However, I would have only changed the entry at the master bedroom (like you did) and left the bathrooms as is to keep the double vanity in both bathrooms. I can't tell the exact dimension of "his closet", but I would shift the wall between the master bath and secondary bath towards "his closet." This would give the master bath a little bit more square footage and allow for a bigger shower. The secondary bath has room to shrink while still maintaining toilet clearances and I think "his closet" can be reduced to 5'-0" by 6'-2". I hope this makes sense - I can't share an image here!
